Jonah M. Kessel is a cinematographer, filmmaker and staff video journalist with The New York Times. His work in short-form documentary storytelling focuses on rights abuse, international development and the human condition around the globe.

Jonah has contributed to a Pulitzer Prize winning series in explanatory journalism, been awarded the Robert F. Kennedy Award for Justice and Human Rights reporting, The Edwin Hoop Diplomatic Award for Broadcast Journalism and received multiple Human Rights Press Awards from Amnesty International.
